ATV Tour Pictures

On our last full day, after diving was done, a group of us rented some ATV's to do a mini-tour of a portion of the island.

We started from Kralendijk on the west coast, and travelled to the east coast area near the defunct Spelonk Lighthouse. Most of the way was on dirt and mud back roads, which made us all mud splattered.

We stopped at the lighthouse and at one of the various caves on the east side of the island. This cave in particular had a small chamber inside that required a tight, hands-and-knees crawl to get inside. It was completely dark in the chamber, and extremely hot and humid.

The tour lasted about 2½ hours, and when we returned we were all very dirty, but had a good time cruising around.
