Hanging Lake

Located in Glenwood Canyon near Glenwood Springs, Colorado, Hanging Lake is a nice hike to a lake contained in the side of the canyon wall.

The hike is over a mile (one-way) from the trailhead, and is steep in some places with numerous stream crossings. The final portion has hand rails to assist hikers up the steep rocks.

Once at the lake, there is a boardwalk around one side to give a very nice view of the green-ish waters and Bridal Veil Falls. A short hike behind takes you to Spouting Rock - the source of the lake.
